But not today...

Don't want to jinx it or anything.. but I woke up feeling really good today.  Yesterday was a good day overall  too.  My ankles are shaped more like ankles again instead of swollen balloons and I think I can wear real shoes and not crocs to church.  The 'alien baby" is nearly gone--sometimes it is completely flat or else there is just a teeny bump so that fluid must be reabsorbing.  Yea!  One less thing to worry about.

Been thinking a lot about what the doctor told me last week.  Part of me is thinking that if a transplant is in the future, then let's get 'er done now even if it is quicker than I thought.  Doing some planning to get ready for that including figuring out some legal things like financial power of attorney and a health care directive. Also thinking about maybe staying at one of those extended stay hotels for the first month right in SLC after the surgery since there will be a lot of blood tests/appointments that need to be done there and my condo is not really big enough for more than one to stay comfortably for an extended period of time.  The clinic  requires you to have a round-the-clock "babysitter" for the first 90 days.. and possibly before the surgery too depending on if I get really confused and disoriented like some people do.  If this all goes down this year, the good news is that my parents are still strong, in good health, and retired so they can probably come out and help--maybe not for the whole time but for a while.  I also have sisters and friends who have said they will help and I really appreciate that!

So... some scary things that are upcoming, but the good news is that it isn't today.  Today, I feel great and I am going to enjoy it!
