- A Segway tour. Went to Las Vegas and planned on doing a Segway tour there but called around and everyone was booked up. That's probably ok because the pictures of where the tour went weren't really that exciting. Decided that I would jump off the Stratosphere instead (on the Sky Jump, not a suicidal act) but that was also all booked up for the entire weekend. I heard that Las Vegas was really busy that weekend, but how would you be able to tell? It is always crowded! I was a little disappointed about the jump, and somewhat relieved. Saved me from having to decide if I REALLY had the courage to do it. We watched people do it though and everyone survived and it looked like quite the rush.
- Stay in a 5 Star Hotel. Check!! Stayed in a suite at the Grand America in SLC during a weekend in March. Seemed like such a magical weekend... Everything went well. I have video/pictures but haven't put together a video yet. The opening of the City Creek Center was that weekend (scheduled especially for us), we saw the touring Broadway production of "Beauty and the Beast" and it was incredible, had dinner at The Melting Pot which I had always wanted to do. Plus, the room was beautiful and relaxing and all I had hoped that it would be. I'm planning on putting together a video but haven't found the perfect music to set it to yet.
- Go fast and be a little irresponsible. Ride in a race car. Check !!! Posted a video about the experience this week. Can I just say that doing stuff like that gives me the exact opposite feeling than I have lying in a hospital bed getting transfusions or tests. Very empowering! Not at all a sub-conscious death wish as some have sort of implied to me since I have never EVER been a risk taker in my life. Course, these risks seem exciting but are also relatively safe.
- Upgrade my camera and continue learning more about photography and making movies. Made a video for work that was more complicated than any I have ever done because it involved putting together interview clips rather than adding just one song. Won't post it though because I used some copyrighted music and don't want that associated with my work.
- Take a Web Design course. Check!!! Just completed an online Web Design course using Word Press and am signed up to start the second one. I am currently working on a web site for my sister MaryLynn who is an artist. After that, I am going to work on one for a friend that has an Alpaca farm. If I develop sufficient skills, maybe it can be a source of income someday.
- How about Get a Liver Transplant... ? Not done yet. My acuity scale has dropped back to the lowest level before being knocked off the list. It would be nice if that meant that I was getting healthier but all the other symptoms I have indicate that I am far sicker than the score shows. So, I will need to wait even longer to get a transplant, or have to look at accepting a compromised liver that other people wouldn't want rather than a perfectly healthy liver. Of course, the score can change very quickly and bounces around a lot so it could go up to a serious level next week. There isn't any predicting.
- Enjoy other people's children. Been doing that when I can... not as much as I would like to though.
Might have to slow down on doing all these things all at once. It isn't on my bucket list to go broke in 2012 so I need to put the reins on a bit...
