Ahoy mateys! Pirate Island may be an unusual choice for a group of adults with no children, however we had a great time! Doesn't look at all like the old movie theater, in fact, the decor is pretty amazing.
It is a Coke place however... with regular ice (minus a few points)... but the pizza ended up being much better than you would expect from a themed restaurant. Word for the wise though, a 24" pizza is WAY too big for a group of four. We pretty much knew that at the time we ordered, but it was so much fun to order and say "Summon the Kraken!". The pizza came out and they had to set up a separate table to hold the pizza. Four of us ate exactly 1/2 of the pizza so there are leftovers for lunch. Yea ! We ordered half Supreme and half Chicken Ranch. I only had one slice of the Supreme before I was full (cuz I am such a delicate eater...) but there was mixed reviews on which was better-- one vote for each from those that tried both. HUGE slices, a little greasy, but overall not bad at all.
Overall, I would give Pirate Island a rating of 3 Stars *** (4 Stars **** if you have kids).
