Like my opinion matters... Jaxies (restaurant review)

Girls night out last night and we went to Jaxies in Spanish Fork (747 N. Main Street).  Nearly everyone had been there before, but it was a first time for me. I had heard that they had great sandwiches and even better cupcakes.  Kim and I got there first and got to look around a bit while holding a table big enough for everyone else.  At the entry way, there were some couches and chairs for people to wait for "to go" orders and a decorated Easter tree with twinkly lights and Easter baskets on it.  Very cozy and inviting.

Took a while at the counter to decide what to order-- lots of selections looked really good.  Jaxies specializes in wraps, paninis, croissant sandwiches, and salads.  I finally settled on the Turkey Cranberry wrap which had turkey breast, cranberries, provolone cheese, cream cheese, and lettuce on a sun-dried tomato tortilla.  Other entrees that sounded tempting included a Mango Chicken Taco Salad and a Peppered Beefinator Panini.

Difficult decision to make but I wasn't at all disappointed.  The wrap had a lot of flavor and the combination of cheeses went well with the turkey and cranberries.  Baked vegetable chips were served with an onion/vegetable-type dip which was tasty as well.  As I looked around the table, everyone's entrees looked equally delicious.

I saw cupcakes in the counter that looked awesome but I ordered a frozen hot chocolate instead.  Friends had ordered these a few months ago someplace else when I didn't and I have thought that it sounded good ever since...  Tastes a lot like a really chocolate-y shake and was pretty darn good!

I've heard rumors that there is also another Jaxies by the Ream's in Springville but I haven't checked that out.  Jaxies also serves breakfast and it is supposed to be really good.  I think that I will be back to check out some other items on the menu.

I enjoyed both the dinner, the restaurant, and the company at Jaxies and will recommend it to others.  We pretty much had to be kicked out when the restaurant closed at 8:00 pm but could have hung out a lot longer...I would give Jaxies a 4-star ( ****) rating on my rating scale.

  1. I didn't notice they served breakfast, I love breakfast, especially breakfast burritos/wraps. Good food, but you do get sick of it if you have it too often.

I love girls night out with you guys, look forward to the next one.

  2. Hi Lisa!
I see your links to your blog through facebook and really like your food reviews--I don't get out much these days with the kiddos, so it's good to know where to spend my time and money when I do :) I love Jaxies and go there all the time, because they have a place upstairs for kids to play. Gotta love that. Glad things are going well, and am loving your photography! I got a nicer camera last year, and am totally getting into photography as well--mainly I'm a crazy mom who won't stop taking pics of my kids, but it's fun. :)
