Photoshop Class

I've been working on an online Photoshop course over the last few weeks-- with the full, grown-up version of Photoshop.  Much of it is a repeat from a previous class by the same teacher on Photoshop Essentials but the full version is a much more powerful tool.  And, this was one of the goals on my Bucket List for 2011.

I didn't take these pictures but have edited them as assignments for the course.  Even though I'm behind (and need to catch up because I have to finish in 2 weeks), the class has been fun.  In the picture above, I was able to silhouette the foreground of the twins and then play with the colors of the sunset.  I like the way it turned out!

I've used this technique a lot with pictures of flowers to add frames and feather the edges of pictures.  Not really the best example because there is too much fading on the left side-- but I'll spend more time practicing it on pictures that I took myself.

Now this one is cool... and the possibilities for playing around with colors are endless.  So many things to learn.. and so little time.. especially when I waste so much time.  Why do I do that???  I'll have to ponder that question while I take a Sunday afternoon nap...
