Surgery

Had what is called a TIPS procedure where some arteries around my liver were re-routed so that all the blood doesn't go thru my liver. Supposed to relieve pressure which helps with the fluid retention. Surgery was supposed to take two to six hours but I was back up in my room in two. Doctor said that part went great which is good because they can only attempt to match an entering vessel and an exiting vessel a few times. If they don't make it then they have to try after resting for a few days. They just did an ultrasound to see if the shunt is working correctly but I haven't heard anything on that yet.
